ST Engineering-Contract for Survey Vessel

Singapore Technologies Engineering Ltd (ST Engineering) announced that its marine arm, Singapore Technologies Marine Ltd (ST Marine), has secured a S$30m contract to provide detailed design, construction and outfitting of a 228 ft seismic survey vessel for Swire Pacific Offshore Operations (Pte) Ltd (SPO), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Swire Pacific Limited. Deep sea explorers often compare what they do with space exploration, many times only superficially and rarely favorably to the space explorers, whom they believe get too much money. It is common for books on undersea exploration to include a throwaway comment about how we know far more about the surface of the Moon than the bottom of the ocean, or how more people have been into space, or on the Moon, than have reached the bottom of the sea. Peru wants to know origin of shipwrecked treasure

TAMPA, Fla. (AP) - Peru's government wants to know if 17 tons of silver coins recovered from a shipwreck in the Atlantic Ocean last year were made there, complicating the legal quest to determine who rightfully owns the multimillion-dollar treasure.
