June 2009 begun as a disaster for me and my family, but it ended up the other way around (I hope)...You know sometimes I don't believe in the saying "When a door closes, a window opens somewhere else" but that could be true every now and then.

شهر يونيو 2009 كان كارثة بالنبسة لي و لعائلتي، بس انتهى بشكل احسن من ما بدا (اتمنى هالشي)...تدرون المثل اللي يقول "لما يقفل باب تفتح بداله (دريشه) نافذة"...ساعات ما اعترف بهلمثل بس ساعات يكون صح.

I didn't posted any big blogs recently not because I have nothing to say but because I have plenty of things to do which prevents me from blogging; In this post I will begin with last but in my upcoming posts I will write more although I know that no one is actually reading my own blog except me LOL

ما دونت تدوينات كبيرة بالفترة الأخيره، مو عشان ما عندي شي اقوله لأ...عشان في اشياء ثانية قاعدة تمنعني من التدوين; في هذي التدوينة راح أمتب عن اخر شي صار و في تدوينات ياية راح اكتب عن الاشياء الثانية اللي صارت و لو ادري ان محد بيقرا مدونتي غيري لووول

Hmmmm...Lastweek I had a chance to be the only photographer for an old Kuwaiti wooden ship locally called "Boom" which is owned by Kuwait Sea Sport Club (النادي البحري الرياضي الكويتي), they used to allow all photographers from all over Kuwait to come but they decided not to allow them anymore because they just come to snap some photos and leave...They never give back any copies of the photos they've taken...Instead they -the photographers- participate in exibihtions with those photos.

في عطلة نهاية الأسبوع اللي طافت صار عندي فرصة اني اكون المصور الوحيد اللي اصور لصالح النادي البحري الرياضي الكويتي، و كان الموضوع سفينة خشبية نسميها بالكويتي (بوم).
النادي البحري كانوا يسمحون لجميع المصورين انهم يصورون بس بعدين منعوا هالشي لأن المصورين ما كانوا يعطونهم نسخ من الصور و كانوا يشاركون فيهم بمعارض.

It's really cool to be able to control a boat and a wooden ship, If you've never done that before...You better do it now :S

شعور رائع لما يكون عندك الحرية بالتحكم في طراد و سفينة خشبية...اذا ما جربتوا هالشي لازم تجربونه الآن الآن و ليس غداً لووول

I've taken more than 500 photos all over the place...But I still need to process them, you can see one of the photos below...

صورت أكثر من 500 صورة في المكان...بس لازم اعدل فيهم شوي، تقدرون تشوفون وحدة منهم تحت...

Last movie I watched was Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen...

The effects was great but just like the first part, they were showing us "Arabs" in a way which doesn't refelct the reality...For example in part one they show people in Qatar as a dozen of people who are living in houses made of mud which is not true.

In the second part, they did show Egyptians in the exact way they did show Qatar plus they did drore their cars from Aqaba, Jordan to the Pyriamids of Giza, Egypt in a short time while it takes at least 5 hours in real life...The writer didn't really bother to open a book or google a map.

As a photographer I've taken many photos that I think they are good but I don't think that other people actually see what's the beauty which I see in that certain photo and they just don't...What makes me realize whether one of my photos is good (according to others) or not is the amount of views, favorites and comments about that photo in my flickr photo stream.

كمصور قمت بإلتقاط العديد من الصور التي أعتبرها بنظري جميلة، غير أني لا أعتقد أن البعض يرى نقاط الجمال في تلك الصور كما أراها...توصلت إلى هذه النتيجة من خلال عدد مشاهدة تلك الصورة و عدد إضافاتها للمفضلة و كمية التعليقات عليها في موقعي في فلكر.

The photo above is an example, it had very few comments in flickr; Now I think it's weird that it was chosen to be in a brochure, website and a blog of "KaMu" restaurant in Tokyo and soon in Austraila...Cool isn't it?

لنتخذ الصورة أعلاه كمثال، حصلت على القليل من التعليقات في فلكر و أرى انه من الغريب ان تم اختيارها لتكون ضمن بروشور، موقع و مدونة مطعم "كامو" الياباني في طوكيو و قريباً في أستراليا!

My trip to Sharm El Sheikh

Sharm El Shaikh is a city in Sinai, Egypt located on the red sea known best for corals and sea life.

I honestly thought it's just like flat, hot and dusty just like Kuwait but I didn't really expect what I saw...I was there from 29th of April 2009 until 9th of May 2009, everybody I knew told me that's a long period to spend over there but after spending all those 10 days yet I think it's not enough for a first time.

Going back on time, I packed my bag with plenty of tanktops, swimwear, shorts, snorkel, a diving mask and a water proof case for my digital SLR camera which I ordered online.

Until then I had no clue that I'll comeback to Kuwait with a new hobby which is Snorkeling.

I've done plenty of fun things over there, I went to many different locations and of course I've taken tons of photos...The only sucky thing about was me being the photographer so I don't get many photos of me :(

Cleopark (which is a water park) was fun although there is a larger water park called Aqua park but I didn't know it until one day before going back to Kuwait.

I went to many cruises where I had the chance to snorkeling in the open sea and enjoy the corals and colored fish , one was to Ras Mohammed, one to the blue hole (which was my favorite spot) we took a 4*4 car then a camel (that was a scary ride) and thrid one was to Tiran island where I almost drowned because I was exuasted from last day's trip so I spent the rest of the trip sleeping *blushes* LOL

The only things I regret:

- Sleeping when we got closer to the recked ship on Tiran island cruise

- Not going to Aqua Park (the large one)
