CCDA Membership

DOOR has recently become a member of Christian Community Development Association. The mission of CCDA is to inspire and train Christians who seek to bear witness to the Kingdom of God by reclaiming and restoring under-resourced communities. This membership affirms DOOR’s commitment to be a part of the neighborhood that hosts each DOOR site in mutually affirming ways and our commitment to the learning from the community, as opposed to the community learning from outside volunteers. We stand with our communities. For more information on CCDA, see their website ccda.org.

Summer Mission Service Options

Consider serving this summer in a urban ministry. Our program is called Discern. Whether you're interested in youth, social work, construction, public health, education, all of these fields (and more) may be explored while serving local urban ministries. Email Heidi at Heidi@DOORNetwork.org with questions.<br />You'll find the application and job description by clicking on Discern in the left side bar and then click on "Application to Serve." You'll get a pdf with the job description and application. Applying early is best but we make final hiring decisions by April 1.

Availability Calendar

Many of you have asked about our availability calendars. We have disabled them during this busy time of group registrations. Registrations are coming in so fast, a published calendar is then constantly behind. Instead, please call Christie in the national office, 303-295-3667. She will help you determine which weeks are open or discuss other cities as options. If you are interested in a weekend program, please call the City Director directly. The City Director will work with you to select a good dates for your weekend experience. At the bottom of the web page, click on 'Contact' to connect you with the city of your choice.
